Follow the active task first
Read the current objective before you walk away from the character speaking to you in Sarab. The early recorded sequence moves from a grocery errand to taking a school key, then toward the school. Watch for that change so you do not treat every spoken warning as a new quest.
Open the official Sarab experience by Patience Zone. The exact page matters: another game with the same name can have different content. The official description is Arabic and identifies Sarab as a horror experience.
The task examples below come from Morkai’s community gameplay, reviewed on October 3, 2026. The recording does not identify the exact current build. Compare its wording with the task on your screen; this opening reference does not promise a complete route or ending.
Read three different kinds of text
A character’s dialogue, the active task and an interaction prompt do different jobs. Dialogue provides context. A task tells you what the game is currently asking for. A prompt identifies an action at an object or character. Read them together, but let the active task determine your immediate priority.
| What you see | What to check | Useful response |
|---|---|---|
| Several lines of conversation | Has a new task appeared? | Finish reading before choosing a destination |
| A list of belongings | Which named objects are still requested? | Keep the whole list rather than one remembered word |
| A Take prompt by the employee | Does the task now ask for the key? | Use the displayed interaction |
| A new school objective | Has the errand stage changed? | Stop searching for shop items and read the next instruction |
An X skip display marked 0/3 is part of the conversation interface in the recording. Do not count it as three collected objects. This distinction prevents a basic mistake: deciding that an errand is finished because an unrelated number has changed.
Recognize the opening shopping list
The recorded shop task names four belongings: a debt ledger, a rice sack, a carton of water and laban. Laban is the dairy drink named by the Arabic word لبن. The other labels are دفتر الديون, خيشة أرز and كرتون مياه.
Match those names to your task instead of guessing from an object’s shape. A green book and a branded sack are visible during the recording, but their appearance alone does not identify every pickup or its location. Keep the task wording beside your inventory labels when checking what you have.
The school-key guide focuses on the employee’s request and the later key handover. It does not supply invented coordinates for all four belongings. If your current task differs from the list above, follow your own displayed list.
Notice when the objective changes
Later in the same recording, the task asks the player to take the school key from the employee. A Take prompt appears at the employee’s hand, and the inventory subsequently displays KeySchool. The next instruction sends the player to the school.
The task has changed, so read it before continuing the grocery search. Check the key’s actual label and read the new instruction before leaving. Holding an item and finishing every action associated with it are separate questions.
At the school entrance, the recording shows bolt cutters under the inventory label Cuts beside a chain. It then shows the player inside with an objective for the deputy’s office. The school-entrance guide handles that stage separately; key possession alone is not a complete explanation of the chained doorway.
Keep your next check specific
If you lose track, read the active task, find the object it names and check for an interaction prompt. Avoid inventing a route from a frightening line of dialogue or assuming that every visible number is a progress counter.
For help reading later lab and water instructions, use the Arabic language guide. It explains the task vocabulary without promising an English switch inside Sarab. This beginner page is an orientation to the recorded opening, so use the dedicated task pages when you reach a particular obstacle.
